“God Won’t Stop If You Won’t”

October 20, 2019 by Mikayla Johns

Hinduism is a religion that has over 330 MILLION different gods, because the people are so hungry to find something that’s real. My mom and I had the amazing opportunity to be apart of helping a nation in Asia find what they have been look for. A true LIVING God. We went on an adventure for three weeks to share the love of Christ, and demonstrate the power of the Holy Spirit. Although many people thought we were only “tourists” having mother-daughter time, we were actually on a mission for Jesus to win souls for the Kingdom of God.

The first two weeks of the trip we spend going to many different places throughout the country. These were places that don’t see a lot of visitors because they are not easy to get to. We traveled up and down mountains, we drove on the edge of cliffs, flew in the smallest airplanes I’ve ever seen, and we went through small rivers. But the journey was always worth what God had planned for the destination.

Everywhere we went there was a powerful move of God. Many adults, youth, and children were filled with the Holy Spirit, and spoke in tongues for the very first time. One man that we prayed for was filled with the Holy Spirit, and once he started speaking in tongues he couldn’t stop. It was amazing to see how many people were set free immediately after receiving the Holy Spirit.

A big part of the trip was setting people free who were being attacked by evil spirits. Many of them were ladies who described it as “snakes that would come down and choke them when they tried to pray, or praise God.”

I was praying for one lady in a very remote area. As I started to pray she dropped to the ground and manifested. I held her arms down so she would stop trying to hit me, and after I commanded that spirit to leave she was completely set free, and with her words started to prophecy! MANY people who were oppressed by the devil were delivered, and completely set free. I always like to look into their eyes after they receive freedom, because it’s amazing to see the difference just in their eyes alone after being set free by Jesus.

Three weeks of preaching and ministering everyday could make one feel tired, but I learned that God won’t stop if you won’t.

When you preach on the Holy Spirit, He shows up, and people get healed! In one church a man came up because he had problems hearing, and he had bad headaches that effected his vision. At the end in the service he lifted his hands and said he was healed! Not just him, but many people were set free from pain in their body. Back pain, breathing problems, arthritis, and migraine headaches all gone by the power of Jesus!

The last week of our trip we spent in the Capital city, teaching and training up Bible school students at Victory Bible School. This in itself is an amazing ministry. The students train, and study intensely for two years. After two years they get sent out to a remote area in their nation to start a church. Every morning my mom taught the students for three hours on divine healing. As she taught she also ministered to them, and many of the students were set free right in the classroom.

In the afternoon I had the opportunity to teach the students as well. I taught them English skills, dramas that they can use when they evangelize, intercessory prayer, and how to pray with authority over the strongholds in their nation. The nation of Nepal is 1.4% Christian, and it has been getting harder and harder for Christians, pastors, and missionaries to do work there. When I taught them on intercession we spent a part of the class interceding for Nepal and breaking strongholds that the devil has put on the nation. As we prayed and, as they were learning how to effectively pray for their county we could feel the devil getting angry!

At the Bible school they also have an everyday after school program, a youth service once a week and their weekly service. I had the privilege to preach at youth group and at their weekly service. God moved in a very prophetic way, but also people were set free and gave their lives to Jesus.

I fell in love with Asia. I made so many friends from up high in the mountains, down low in the villages, and of course in the Bible school. As always it’s hard to say goodbye but I know we will go back again soon.
