Honduras, Nicaragua, and Guatemala – three nations in Central America that will be impacted with the Gospel beginning January 12th. The favor and the doors that have opened to make this trip possible blows our minds. We are starting off the year 2021 with a trip like no other.
In 2019 my mom and I traveled for the first time without a team of people to two countries in Asia. Little did we know that God was forming something incredible. It turns out that we make a pretty great team. Not only do we think that, but God seems to think so as well.
There is nothing easy about traveling these days. With the restrictions and COVID testing it makes things a lot more difficult. But it’s also worth it to reach people with the love of Jesus. Once we arrive in the first country, Honduras, we will be meeting up with a team of Central Americans who are just as crazy as we are for Jesus. We will be working with them on our exciting new adventure. Who would have thought that one Canadian, one American, two Guatemalans, and more than a few Hondurans would make such an amazing team?
In Honduras, we are going to do some exploring in the mountains to find more tribes that have not yet been reached with the Gospel. We will also be discipling and encouraging the Christians who live in some of the remote areas of the mountain. The Christians who live there are hungry for Jesus, but not many people go to teach them the Word of God. In Honduras, we will also be partnering with other pastors and missionaries to reach new cities and new communities. We are going to many new places on this trip! There has always been an anointing over my family to pioneer and go into hard places. We are not afraid to be the first ones to go and break down the strongholds to bring in the harvest for Jesus. We are currently raising money to be able to buy food to help the families in the mountains. After preaching the Gospel and ministering to them we will be able to bless them with a week’s supply of food.
There is a missionary in Honduras who has a connection in Nicaragua. He invited us to go and teach about the Holy Spirit in churches and evangelize. Nicaragua is considered a communist nation. Although it is not easy to get into the nation of Nicaragua, God’s hand of favor has been placed over our team. While we travel from place to place in Nicaragua we will be sleeping on the floors of churches and in homes of Christians. Nicaragua is a new adventure for us that we are excited to take on. Honestly, we don’t know everything to expect but God is going to do great things!
After doing God’s work in Honduras and Nicaragua we will begin to travel to Guatemala. As many know, I have spent a lot of time in Guatemala the last few years. In the year 2020 I started a new ministry to reach more souls in the nation. With the love and support of many people, Kidz Club was started and has already reached many children and their families with the Gospel. Sadly, when the pandemic hit, we were unable to find places that would allow us have gatherings to continue the ministry. However, as Guatemala starts to open back up, an amazing team of Guatemalans who took on the vision of Kidz Club have continued the ministry even while I have been away. It has been heavy on my heart to go back to Guatemala as soon as I can and to expand the vision of Kidz Club that began last year. As we finish up our trip to Central America in Guatemala we will be doing Kidz Clubs in places we have never held outreaches before with our amazing team.
We are also going to spend five days of our trip to Guatemala in a mountain we have never been to before called Cobán. We were told that not many missionaries are willing to go up this mountain. We will be partnering with missionary friends of ours to spread the Gospel and love of Jesus to the people on this mountain. While we are in Guatemala we will also be ministering in churches, villages, and helping out other ministries that we know like House of Refuge Street Ministries, a ministry that reaches out to men and women of the streets and families in extreme poverty.
The harvest is ready, but is the church ready to go out and get the harvest? More than ever before the lost people need to hear the Gospel and the church needs to be encouraged. Supernatural things have already taken place to make this trip possible. I can only imagine the supernatural things that God is going to do while we are serving him in Central America. Please keep our team in your prayers. Thank you for all your love and support
