I recently returned from a powerful trip to the Middle East. What an amazing way to end 2019!
When my mom and I arrived in the country, and went through immigration, the officer didn’t ask us any questions. Nobody asked us why we were there. Nobody was suspicious of us. We simply walked through the airport, got our bags, and started our mission.
On our way to our first meeting we stopped to get gas. All of a sudden everyone in the gas station stopped what they were doing. At first I had no idea what was going on. They started bringing out mats and laying them down in the middle on the station. It didn’t matter to them that people were waiting to fill their tanks with gas. It didn’t matter that they were in the way of many consumers. The group of Muslims kneeled down and began to pray on their mats. The did not let anything stop them or get in their way. “These were the kinds of people we were gonna minister to,” I thought to myself. It seemed like nothing would be able to stop them from serving their god. Nothing except the power of Jesus.
Like a mighty rushing wind there was a move of the Holy Spirit. Not only were people saved, but many people were filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues for the first time. In one youth meeting the young people were so excited about what God was doing that they didn’t want to leave the church. We worshiped God together until 10:30 that night. One week later, the pastor from that church was still receiving calls from the youth sharing their testimonies about how God changed them forever and how they received the gift of speaking in tongues.
If you know my mom and me, you know that we both understand the importance of children experiencing the power of Jesus. In one service the Holy Spirit started touching the children in an amazing way. They were on the floor crying and shouting out to God. Many children had encounters with Jesus.
We spent the two weeks going to schools, doing evangelist outreaches, training leaders, and preaching in many churches. A lot people were healed, especially at our final meeting. People were healed from knee pain, arthritis, migraine headaches, breathing problems, and chest pain! They saw and experienced the power of Jesus.
What’s next? I’m going back to Guatemala! I’ve been praying and seeking God and He told me to go back. I couldn’t be more excited to see what He has planned this time. I am planning on departing in the middle of January 2020. I will give you more information when it gets closer. Thank you so much for your support as we touch the world with the love of Jesus.
